RONKER + CESAR SUN

RONKER has already performed at major festivals such as Jera On Air, Dynamo Metalfest, Alcatraz Festival and Rock Affligem, and has played at renowned venues such as Paradiso and Trix. On Friday 22 January 2027, RONKER and CESAR SUN will be coming to Podium De Piek in Vlissingen for an evening of relentless live performances.

###### **RONKER**

Formed in 2020, the band describes its music as ‘state-of-the-art speednoise’. Expect an explosive mix of noise-rock, hardcore and 90s emo: lightning-fast and uncompromising, but always featuring powerful riffs and catchy hooks. With their critically acclaimed debut album *Fear Is a Funny Thing, Now Smile Like a Big Boy*, RONKER firmly established their name within the Belgian heavy scene.

On their second album, *Respect The Hustle, I Won’t Be Your Dog Forever*, RONKER sound more ambitious, more furious and more versatile than ever. The band takes on modern hustle culture in a maximalist mix where anything goes. Kerrang awarded the album four stars, whilst Metal Hammer UK praised the record’s raw anger, power and energy.

###### **CESAR SUN**

The evening will be opened by CESAR SUN. This trio of musical hooligans describe their sound as ‘Psychedelic Stoner Punk’: a rousing combination of psychedelic sounds, grubby stoner riffs and the unbridled energy of punk. Their live shows are renowned for being explosive and delightfully chaotic. CESAR SUN take the audience in a musical stranglehold and only let go once the final note has faded away

The fact that RONKER will be performing at De Piek on 22 January 2027, just a few metres away from the audience, after having graced the big festival stages, is remarkable to say the least.
