As the volunteers at the 55-year-old De Piek music venue prepare for the long-awaited move to new premises, *Sweat Drips from the Walls* follows a community that is balancing renewal with the preservation of its rich musical history. How do you carry the past with you without losing it along the way?

 

De Piek is Vlissingen’s iconic, alternative music venue.

 

This raw and intimate cultural venue has played a crucial role in the Zeeland music scene for decades. It is renowned for its intimate concert venue , where the audience is extremely close to the performers. Since 2018, De Piek has been run entirely independently by an enthusiastic and loyal group of volunteers.

 

‘Sweat Drips from the Walls’ is also part of the opening programme of Zeeuws Licht .
