On Friday 8 January 2027, Grote Geelstaart will be performing at Podium De Piek.
The band from Zeeland delivers a mix of noise rock, angular synths, erratic rhythms and distorted disco beats that is as idiosyncratic as it is overwhelming.

 

‘Wij Zinken’ Tour

Following performances at festivals including Valkhof Festival, Into The Great Wide Open and Hit The City, Grote Geelstaart toured the country with their debut EP *Van Reijnst* as part of the Popronde. In 2026, they played at Noorderslag and festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Dauwpop and Oerol, as well as shows in Belgium, Germany and Portugal. The band is continuing this rise with the ‘Wij Zinken’ tour . The shows at Roodkapje and Paradiso are now sold out.

 

Manic, danceable noise rock

With two drum kits and a substantial collection of effects pedals, Grote Geelstaart creates a sound that is constantly on the verge of tipping over. Live, the compositions interlock and coalesce into a single swirling torrent of rhythm, noise and robotic vocals. Behind the smart shirts and ties lies a band that takes no half-measures on stage.
