High Tide Sounds

'High Tide Sounds' is a sound system like those originally set up in many places in Jamaica, originating in the late 1940s and early 1950s in Kingston. DJs behind the turntable with mega big boxes. In the 1970s, this was very popular.

 

The men of High Tide Sounds are a DJ collective consisting of three well-known DJs from Zeeland, who together try to bring back this atmosphere with a mix of Early Ska, Rocksteady Roots Reggae, Dub and Calypso. From their collection of thousands of reggae records, they try to get the audience dancing with a passion for Jamaican music.
