Friday 4 December sees Wasted Youth Club and Bongloard perform at De Piek in Flushing. Two bands that both do something different, but work exactly together. The pace is fast, the sound is open and before you know it you're in the middle of it. A strong concert night in Vlissingen for fans of alternative music and garage punk in Zeeland .

 

Wasted Youth Club

Wasted Youth Club plays psychedelic garage punk that is fast, raw and a touch unpredictable. Their shows are not about standing neatly, but about going wild.

They have played all over Europe and it shows. Their debut album CONSEQUENCES demonstrates this well: pace, energy and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Influences of FIDLAR, Oh Sees and Wine Lips are recognisable, but it remains clearly their own sound.

 

Bongloard

Bongloard is a three-man band from the Netherlands that has been active within the underground scene since 2019. Their music moves between noise punk and alternative rock , with gritty guitars and a groove that builds slowly.

Instead of quick peaks, they choose to hold onto an idea and develop it further and further. You can hear this in their songs: played tightly, with a sound that lingers without getting complicated. The band Bongloard have quickly built a solid live reputation in Europe with their shows.

 

Where Wasted Youth Club mainly hunts ahead, Bongloard pulls it a bit wider and heavier. This makes for a delightful contrast, without losing the energy. A unique concert in Zeeland for anyone in the mood for solid guitar work.
