Rumble Dog + Hobojobos

Five years after Finally Free, there is now Adem Happen, Rumble Dog's new record, still incomparable and its own, but with Winnie Haarhuis' vocals and drums suddenly complete and new. Adem Happen is a wondrous set of varied songs that were given a long time to mature including Between Dog and Wolf after a song by the late Alain Croubalian (Dead Brothers). Breath Happen makes you sing, dance, scream, warm, love, hug, rebel, laugh, stay up, dream, celebrate and whistle. Escape the real world for a while, or is this the real world?

 

First reactions to the new album:

In 2021, Rommelhond released the LP Eindelijk Vrij recorded in the Houtje-touwtje-stro-gebouwtje, a self-built studio made of straw bales in Breda. Frontman Erik vandenBerge changed tack to acoustic and Dutch-song. The album was dedicated to the lost band members Arnoud Brinkman and Peter van Liere who never returned from their voyage to the Northern Lights on the ship Warnow (filmed by Wim van der Aar / VPRO) Rommelhond has already played on many known and unknown stages from the Piek to Paradiso and shared the stage with the Beukorkest, Stuurbaard Bakkebaard, Johnny Dowd, Kyteman, Melle, Mark Lotterman, Dead Brothers, de Kift, Roosbeef, de Stokers and others.

 

 

HOBOJOBOS is a folk punk band from Eindhoven. With Dutch-language, energetic and contrary music, they get everyone singing and dancing like a crab. Cheerful songs about depression and angry lyrics about very low things. They play acoustic and ground floor and take you into their defiance. A unique experience!**
